Syllabus

Classical ballet built on the Vaganova-inspired progression: barre, center, and across-the-floor work that builds strength, line, and musicality.

  1. 1

    Barre work

    Pliés, tendus, dégagés, rond de jambe, frappés, and grand battements.

  2. 2

    Center adagio

    Slow, sustained work to develop balance, port de bras, and épaulement.

  3. 3

    Allegro

    Petit and grand allegro — sautés, jetés, glissades, assemblés.

  4. 4

    Across the floor

    Chaînés, piqué turns, and traveling combinations.

  5. 5

    Variation prep

    Recital choreography drawn from classical repertoire.

What to bring

  • Black leotard, pink tights

Recital

This class participates in the annual spring recital. Costume fees and tech rehearsal dates are shared mid-season.
